LL Funds is hiring an Investment Analyst to join its growing team. The analyst will engage across many functions of the Firm and will have exposure to investments from research and modeling through deal structuring and closing. The ideal candidate has superior analytical skills, is organized and communicates effectively, both verbally and in writing. Candidates who take initiative, have a strong work ethic and a high level of maturity are considered ideal. The position is in our Philadelphia, PA office.
• Use a variety of analytical and modeling techniques to develop and/or refine strategies related to performance forecasting, pricing and warehouse line management across multiple asset classes (e.g., auto, unsecured Consumer loans, cards, mortgage, etc.).
• Develop statistical and econometric models for economics variables including HPA, interest rates and employment.
• Track realized vs. modeled performance for covered asset classes and economic variables, making improvements to models as needed.
• Identify required data and work with data providers to understand data sources, ensure data quality and retrieve/store data on a timely basis.
• Assist in the execution and tracking of investments.
• Assist in special projects as requested.
• Perform related duties as assigned.
• Quantitatively oriented with a bachelor’s degree or equivalent in mathematics, statistics, economics, computer science, or other quantitative disciplines.
• One year of relevant industry experience.
• Experience working with R, Matlab, Python and Excel/VBA. Knowledge of relational databases preferred.
• Strong communication skills, including the ability to communicate technical results to non-technical audience.
• Ability to multi-task across analytical, administrative and research activities in a detail oriented and timely manner. High attention to detail is a must.
