Mr. González-Heres joined LL Funds in October 2021 after a one-year consultancy. Prior to joining LL, he was a Managing Director at Morgan Stanley Alternative Investment Partners and the portfolio manager of a $1B pension plan for AIP’s founding investor. He was also a member of the Investment Committee and responsible for sourcing hedge fund managers and co-investments in event-driven and corporate credit trading strategies. Previously, he was Chief Executive Officer of a privately held software company and has seven years of investment banking experience at Bear Stearns and Prudential Securities. Mr. González-Heres started his career with IBM, where he obtained a U.S. and an international patent for his work on algorithms and has published research articles in several peer-reviewed journals. He served for six years as lecturer at NYU Stern School of Business and holds the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst designation. He received an MBA from the Yale University School of Management and a BS in Electrical Engineering from Northwestern University.
