
Roberto founded LL Funds in 2009. He started his investment career with Miller, Anderson & Sherrerd, LLP in 1992, becoming a Portfolio Manager in 1996, the year the firm was acquired by Morgan Stanley. He was promoted to Managing Director, Head of the Mortgage Research Team, and went on to co-lead U.S. Fixed Income Investments for Morgan Stanley Investment Management.
Prior to working in investment management, Roberto worked at the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System as an assistant economist and spent one year consulting for the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development. He received a BA in Economics and Mathematics, Phi Beta Kappa, from the University of Wisconsin. He went on to earn an MBA from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.

Putnam joined LL Funds in July 2019 as a Partner and Chief Operating Officer. Previously, he was a Partner and Chief Operating Officer of Paulson & Company, Inc., an investment management firm specializing in arbitrage, event-related and credit strategies. Prior to Paulson, he was a Managing Director with Morgan Stanley, where he served in COO roles for the firm’s hedge fund business, was COO of the firm’s private equity, and hedge fund-of-funds businesses, and was manager of Global Strategy for the firm’s investment management division. Before Morgan Stanley, Putnam was a manager with Marakon Associates, a consulting firm, where he focused on strategy and capital structure for large banks and financial services firms. Putnam served on the Board of Directors of Motley Fool Holdings from 2008 to 2017, was President of its money management business and was non-executive Chairman of its investment business. He received an MBA from the Yale University School of Management and a BA in Political Science from Trinity College. He serves on the advisory board of the Yale International Center for Finance and is Chair of the endowment investment committee of Renbrook School.

Rudi joined LL Funds in July 2019 and leads the firm’s asset-backed private credit strategy. He is responsible for portfolio construction, transaction structuring, capital markets execution, and risk management across warehouse facilities and structured credit investments. Prior to LL, Rudi was a data scientist at Trumid Financial, an electronic trading platform for corporate bonds, where he focused on market structure and pricing analytics. Prior to that, he was a quantitative investment analyst on the investment strategy team at Prudential Fixed Income, supporting asset allocation and portfolio risk analysis across fixed income strategies. Rudi holds an MBA from The Wharton School with concentrations in Finance and Statistics, and a BA in Mathematics, Magna Cum Laude, from the University of Pennsylvania.

Jim joined LL Funds in April 2017 and serves on the Boards of Evernest, Rebuilt, Freemodel, Billd, autoMHatic, and Strike. He brings more than 30 years of experience building and leading growth companies across financial technology and consumer products. Prior to LL Funds, Jim was a Managing Director at MSCI, where he led the InvestorForce business following MSCI’s acquisition in 2013. He previously served as CEO of InvestorForce from its founding in 1999, overseeing strategy, operations, and execution through significant growth. Earlier in his career, Jim held senior management, marketing, and strategy roles at Morgan Stanley Investment Management, Goldman Sachs & Co., The Coca-Cola Company, and Procter & Gamble. Jim holds an MBA in Finance from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and a BS in Mathematics from Siena College. He previously served on the Board of the Morris Arboretum of the University of Pennsylvania, including as Chair of the Investment Committee.

Raj joined LL Funds in February 2016. He is a member of the Board of Directors of Strike, autoMHatic, Billd, Renew, Mission Lane, Leif, Quantum and Guardinex, all portfolio companies of LL Funds. He also led LL’s investment and exit from Dividend Finance. He has over 25 years’ experience building and growing lending businesses in consumer finance, banking, and strategy. Prior to LL, he served as President of the $55 billion Mass Affluent Card business at JP Morgan Chase with over $2 billion of pre‐tax income. Previously, he was EVP and Head of Bankcards for HSBC-USA achieving over 20% consistent YOY growth to reach over $20 billion in assets with over $1 billion in pre‐tax income. He also served in senior roles at HSBC Auto Finance, and in Capital One Financial Corp. He began his business career as a strategy consultant with McKinsey and Company. Raj earned an MBA from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania where he graduated as a Palmer Scholar.

Marek joined LL Funds in February 2012 with over 15 years of experience across portfolio management, trading and strategy functions in the mortgage and asset-backed industry. Prior to LL Funds, he was a Vice President in ABS Trading at Deutsche Bank, trading subprime non-agency and asset-backed securities for the bank’s flow desk. Prior to a trading position, he was part of the ABS strategy team, where he provided analysis of residential non-agency sector, led quant development of relative value and loan level models, and marketed trade ideas to clients. He started at Deutsche Bank in 2004 as part of the risk management team, working with structured credit traders and other risk managers on modeling risk in bespoke credit transactions. He started his research and investing career at Goldman Sachs in the Risk Quant Group in 2000. Marek holds an MA in the Mathematics of Finance and a BS in Operations Research, Economics, and Computer Science from Columbia University.

Andy joined LL Funds in June 2025 and is a member of the investor relations team, supporting client service, business development, and ongoing investor engagement across the firm’s investment strategies. Prior to joining LL, he worked as a Compliance Officer at The Haverford Trust Company. Prior to that, Andy spent 18 years at Aberdeen Investments, most recently as Head of Presentations – Americas, where he led presentation strategy and supported U.S. distribution efforts, following earlier roles in quality assurance and client portfolio analysis. He began his career at Morgan Stanley Investment Management in portfolio and client service roles. Andy received his BS in Finance from Millersville University.

Kevin joined LL Funds in June 2012 and focuses on LL’s ABS strategies and securitized credit. Prior to LL Funds, he was an AVP at Credit Suisse, responsible for the valuation of the bank’s non-agency RMBS trading inventory. Prior to Credit Suisse, Kevin spent three years at the Markit Group (IHS Markit) as the lead operations analyst for data and evaluated pricing initiatives within fixed income. He started his career as a member of the portfolio and securitization team at American Home Mortgage Investment Corporation. Kevin holds a BS in Finance from the University of Scranton and holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.

Caroline joined LL Funds in January 2019 where she has focused on LL’s Capital Partners (private equity) strategy. She helps manage LL’s deal sourcing and due diligence efforts as well as providing ongoing support to our portfolio companies. She is a board observer at autoMHatic, Renew, Billd, Quantum, Evernest, Rebuilt, and Freemodel. Prior to joining LL, she was a Vice President at Duff & Phelps (now known as Kroll). Caroline earned a BS in Finance from The Pennsylvania State University, with minors in Economics and International Business.

Pranav joined LL Funds in April 2022. He serves as Chief Financial Officer and Chief Compliance Officer of the LL Funds LLC, overseeing financial and regulatory compliance functions. Previously, he was the Chief Financial Officer, Chief Operating Officer, and Chief Compliance Officer with Islet Management LP, a multi-million dollar long/short tactical trading hedge fund. Prior to Islet, he was a Senior Vice President and Assistant Controller with Paulson & Co. Inc. Pranav started his career at PFPC Worldwide, Inc. He received an MS in Financial Markets from Illinois Institute of Technology, an MBA from Maharshi Dayanand Saraswati University, and a BBA from Anand Commerce College.

Doyle joined LL Funds in May 2024 as a Portfolio Manager focusing on LL’s ABS strategies and securitized credit. Prior to LL Funds, he was a Senior Portfolio Manager at CQS, responsible for RMBS and ABS investments across hedge fund and long-only portfolios. Before joining CQS in 2015, Doyle was responsible for RMBS and ABS loss mitigation, modeling, and surveillance at Assured Guaranty, Ambac and Dexia. He started his career in securitization and investing at Financial Security Assurance in 2005. Doyle holds a BS in Mathematics and Economics from Georgetown University and is a CFA charterholder.

José joined LL Funds in October 2021 and leads originator and counterparty underwriting for the firm’s private credit strategy. He evaluates management teams, operational platforms, and credit alignment to ensure structural downside protection and long-term counterparty stability. Prior to LL, José was a Managing Director at Morgan Stanley Alternative Investment Partners, where he served as portfolio manager of a $1 billion pension mandate and was a member of the investment committee. He sourced and underwrote hedge fund managers and co-investments across event-driven and corporate credit strategies. Earlier in his career, José served as CEO of a privately held software company and spent seven years in investment banking at Bear Stearns and Prudential Securities. José holds an MBA from the Yale School of Management and a BS in Electrical Engineering from Northwestern University.

Josch joined LL Funds in September 2024 and is responsible for analyzing large datasets to enhance portfolio strategies across mortgage and consumer asset classes. His work applies advanced analytical and modeling techniques to support performance evaluation, risk monitoring, and forecasting. Josch holds a BS and MS in Physics from Heidelberg University, Germany.

Matt joined LL Funds in March 2026 and focuses on structuring, negotiating, and managing facility transactions for the firm’s asset-backed private credit strategy. He works closely with originators, lenders, and internal teams to design and execute warehouse facilities and other structured credit investments. Prior to joining LL, Matt was an Executive Director at BlackRock on its Private Credit ABF team and previously a Senior Director in Corporate and Asset-Backed Private Debt at Pacific Life Investments. Earlier in his career, Matt held roles at Société Générale, where he began as a Trading Analyst in Structured Products and was later promoted to Vice President in Investment Banking within Private Capital Markets and Sales. Matt received his BS in Accounting, Cum Laude, from the University of Arizona and is a CFA Charterholder.

TJ joined LL Funds in May 2025 and supports investment operations across all funds. His work spans trade lifecycle management, reconciliations, and operational enhancements. He began his career at JPMorgan Chase in Fund Services Operations with a focus on fixed income operations. TJ holds a BS in Finance from Rowan University and a MS in Management from the University of Illinois.

Zhiming joined LL Funds in June 2023 and focuses on quantitative modeling and portfolio analytics for the firm’s asset-backed private credit strategy. He develops collateral-level cash flow models, stress testing frameworks, and risk analytics that support underwriting and portfolio monitoring. Prior to LL, Zhiming held quantitative research roles at Deloitte, Dongxing Asset Management, and Ruitian Capital, where he built analytical models to support investment decisions across credit and equity strategies. Zhiming holds a BS from the University of Toronto in Computer Science and a Master’s in Asset Management from the Yale School of Management with a concentration in Quantitative Investing.

Jessi joined LL Funds in August 2022 as an Executive Assistant, supporting the team and general office management functions. Prior to LL, she was the Executive Assistant and Human Resources Manager at The Fabric Workshop and Museum in Philadelphia and the Executive Assistant to the CEO and Office Manager at the Weitzman National Museum of American Jewish History. Jessi began her career at the University of the Arts as a financial aid counselor. She graduated with a BFA in Photography from the University of the Arts.

Diane joined LL Funds in December 2021 as our Director of Human Resources to align and execute HR strategies, policies and projects in support of the Firm’s talent strategy and to oversee the operations of the office environment. Prior to LL, she was a Principal in Human Resources with GCM Grosvenor, where she focused on HR operations, employee relations and payroll; Head of Human Resources at Tibra Trading America LLC; and Director of Human Resources at Ronin Capital, LLC. She began her career at Morgan Stanley Investment Management (formerly Miller Anderson & Sherrerd), where she was a Human Resources Generalist and Manager. Diane received her BBA in Marketing from Temple University.

Linda joined LL Funds in March 2023. In her role, Linda oversees the financial reporting and accounting operations for the firm’s funds and the management company. Previously, she worked at State Street in their International Fund Services group where she led investment accounting and financial reporting for hedge and private equity clients. Prior to State Street, she worked in a similar capacity at Goldman Sachs in Fund Administration Services. She started her career at PricewaterhouseCoopers as an Audit Senior in Financial Services. Linda is a licensed Certified Public Accountant in New Jersey and holds an MBA in Professional Accounting and a BS in Economics from Rutgers University.

Since 2018, Scott has managed legal and corporate governance for LL Funds through his sole member law firm, Cogent Legal Services, LLC. He advises LL Funds and its portfolio companies in the evaluation, structure, negotiation, and execution of lending, investment, corporate and commercial transactions, as well as dispute resolution, regulatory and compliance matters. He started his career in the business department at Dechert LLP in its M&A and corporate and securities practice groups. After Dechert, he spent 12 years at Actua Corporation, where he became a Managing Director and Assistant General Counsel and co-managed the firm’s legal department. Scott holds a BS in Economics, summa cum laude, from Fordham University and a Juris Doctor, cum laude, from the James E. Beasley School of Law at Temple University, where he was an editor of the Temple Law Review.

Teddy joined LL Funds in March 2022. In his role, Teddy oversees fund and investment operations across the firm’s portfolios of private companies, private credit, and secondary markets. Prior to LL Funds, Teddy focused on operations and technology for fixed income and non-equity strategies at Susquehanna. Teddy holds a BS in Finance and BS in Business Intelligence from Saint Joseph’s University.

Cory joined LL Funds in October 2025 and is a member of the investor relations team, supporting business development, capital raising, and ongoing investor engagement across the firm’s investment strategies. Prior to LL Funds, he was a Business Development Associate at J&B Marketing, where he led strategic outreach and relationship development across key commercial partners. Before J&B, Cory was an Investment Analyst at Thornapple River Capital, a family office-backed investment platform, where he supported capital formation and conducted due diligence on direct private equity and venture investments. Cory holds a BS in Economics from The Pennsylvania State University.
